Glory is the ninth studio album recorded by American singer Britney Spears. It was released on August 26, 2016 through RCA Records. The singer began working on the album in 2014; she also renewed her record deal with RCA Records. Lacking a deadline for completion, Spears continued work into 2015 and 2016, which—according to Spears—provided her the opportunity to create one of her favorite albums in her catalog. It is the follow up to 2013's Britney Jean which suffered lackluster sales due to producer will.i.am creating songs which are not memorable which resulted in a total flop.
Glory received generally positive reviews from music critics. "Make Me..." served as the lead single for the record, being released on July 15, 2016. The single debuted and peaked at number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Glory was further promoted with three promotional singles—"Private Show", "Clumsy", and "Do You Wanna Come Over?"—which premiered in the weeks before its launch.[2] The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, selling 111,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with 88,000 copies coming from pure sales.
